Class Evaluation

Class Evaluation

1. What I like about this class is that I get to learn more about computers and all the ways I can do
different things. I've learned how to create my own website which is useful for the future and future
jobs that may require me to do so. I also like the posts we do about how we can become better people
or successful. I find that useful because it has made my life better and brighter. From that, I can go
around and teach people and help them the way it has helped me.

2. I don't dislike this class in any way. This is my favorite class.

3. I recommend we get more time doing the ways on how to become better and successful people. Sometimes I just want to write more and we don't get enough time. I would also like a little more time working on my weebly account because I would like to improve my website and I don't have the time at home to do it.

4. A couple of highlights in this class was meeting new people like the ones who sit next to me. This has made me closer with them and now I consider them as really good friends. Another highlight was starting my new weebly website. I really enjoy working on it and improving it little by little.

5. I believe I did great in this class. When it comes to the ways, I get into it and love expressing how I feel about the topic and what I know about it.

6. Yes, I do write in my goals journal for five minutes daily. I write about a page each goal. I don't have enough time to get to the Sharpen the Saw part but when I do, I write enough. I also don't have the time to report but I am writing in my goals journal when I can.

7. I am very committed to being a CTR student. I think being a CTR student/person will get me far in life. I follow all the ways that will help me become successful in my future. Not only that but, I am seeing myself become a better person so the ways are really affecting me for the better.

10 Keys to Personal Power -Brian Tracy

 10 Keys to Personal Power

Key 1: Clarity

"Have vision. Determine what you want to be, do or have in life. Have a sense of direction and know where you're going. If you do not have clear specific goals in life, you are doomed forever to work for others who do."

This is saying that you should already have your future in mind. You should have a clear understanding of what you want to do with your life. This way, you can work towards your goal instead of doing a whole bunch of other things instead and wasting your life away. Knowing what you are working for makes life a whole lot easier. You know what you're trying to achieve so you know what you have to do and you won't let anything get in your way. You have an idea of the obstacles that you may have to overcome and that will save you some time.

Key 2: Competence

"If you commit to excellence, opportunities will always come your way. The harder you work, the better you get."

Competence is saying that if you look to excellence, you'll go far in life and you'll be successful. You will always find something to do that will affect your future for the better. There will come more opportunities for you and these opportunities will guide you and eventually help you out. This is also saying that you have to work hard to be great. If you do a half booty job, you won't be as great as the person doing the maximum. You have to work for what you want and be the best at it. You will feel accomplished. You will be successful.

Key 3: Concentration

"Make the best use of your time. Ask yourself "Is this the best use of my time?" before you start anything."

Concentration is an important key to personal power. To do a good job on something, you have to stay concentrated. Staying concentrated means putting all things that would distract you aside and focus on the most important thing you're doing. Stalling to do work won't help you get to where you want to be. It'll only waste your time and you won't get to where you want right away. This is why concentration is an important key to personal power.

Key 4: Common Sense

  • train your mind
  • think things along
  • listen to your intuition
  • learn from setbacks

Key 5: Creativity

"Except the fact that every human being is a genius. The hallmark of creativity is asking questions. The people who are most creative ask the most questions."

Being creative is a great way to explore new things and new ways of doing things. It also allows you to express yourself in different ways. You think outside the box so you want to know more and learn more. You ask more questions and you are more involved with what you are doing and learning. From being more involved and concentrated, you become smarter.

Key 6: Consideration

"The quality of your relationship with other people will determine your success in life."

"Develop the people skills you need to become a better communicator. Take courses in listening, speaking, etc."

"If you were to learn one new word a day, within 5 years, you'll be the best educated person in history."

Being considerate of others is very important. You have to think about them or how something you say or do may affect them. You have to be able to communicate with them when you notice they are sad. Listening to others and how they're feeling and their emotions really makes them feel like you're there for them.

Key 7: Consistency

"Dependable, steady predictable work is always superior to fast spurts of work."

"Be consistent in your relationships, your family, friends, your boss, your work. Be the person that people can depend upon. That if you say you'll do something you do it..."

Being consistent means being fair. You have to be fair with others and make everything equal.

Key 8: Commitment

"No success is possible without commitment. The ability to commit yourself whole heartily is the basis of achieving all success."

"Become totally absorbed in your work. Be totally committed."

Being committed is important when you have a goal. In order to succeed at achieving your goal, you have to put your all. Being committed to something is like saying you'll do something and keeping your word. If you aren't committed, you can't expect yourself to achieve your goal. When you're committed, you achieve it a lot faster. If you become lazy and don't put your all into what you want, you either won't achieve it or the process will take longer. Be committed for something you desperately want because it won't just come to you on its own.

Key 9: Courage

"The fear of failure is the single greatest reason for failure in life."

In order to not fail in life, you have to be courageous. You can't let the fear of failing take over. Being courageous means you have to do what you're scared to do. Take risks and do things you normally wouldn't do. You cannot be afraid to do things or be afraid to fail. If you don't try because you feel like you're gonna fail then you're going to fail anyways. So, it's better to try and fail than to give up and fail.

Key 10: Confidence

"You only get confidence by doing things over and over again."

Being confident is so important. Being confident means you feel good about what you're doing and you feel good about your choices. When you're confident, you are well aware of what you're doing and you don't doubt yourself. This is good for your image. Not only are you showing others how confident you are but you're showing yourself that you can amount to anything without thinking you're wrong. Being confident shows others that you're not afraid to do things and you think what you're doing is right. People will see that you're not one to quit and they'll surround you more because they like people like that.

Character and Personality

What I learned from this video was that character and personality is key to living a good life. It's what connects everything you do. These two things are completely different though. Character is who you are inside and what gets you going. Personality is what you show people. It is more important to work on your character than your personality. It's better to get your work done than to make people interested in you. You will get through life easier with character rather than personality. You will go farther in life and succeed. Start from the bottom and work your way up to the top. Start from the roots and you'll eventually get to where you want to be. Personality is important in life but character will definitely get you farther and it'll be more useful to your future success.
